Patriarch of Romania saw the exhibition “Colours of Orthodoxy. Poland”, which is located in the Aula Magna of the Patriarchal Palace in Bucharest.
Belgrade was another city that hosted the exhibition „Colours of Orthodoxy. Poland”. The place chose for the exhibition was a special one: St Sava’s Church in Vracar District. The church was built to commemorate the great enlightener of Serbia – St Sava. His holy relics were burnt at the place where the church was built. St Sava’s church is, like The Saviour church in Moscov, one of the biggest churches in the world.
The tour promoting the exhibition “Colours of Orthodoxy. Poland” has started over a week ago. A group of Poles has been touring Europe opening exhibitions in Ukraine, Moldova and Romania. Finally, on Wednesday September 18th, the exhibition arrived at the capital of Bulgaria.
The exhibition in Bucharest was attended by representatives of Romanian Orthodox Church with a head of the press center of Romanian Patriarchate Biserica – Fr Mikołaj Dascalu.
In the capital of Moldova the exhibition “Colours of Orthodoxy. Poland” is available to be seen starting from 15th of September 2013. The head of the Moldovan Orthodox Church - Metropolitan Vladimir officially opened the exhibition. The pictures are presented in the National Library, near Orthodox Cathedral in Kishinev.
The exhibition opening took place in Vinnica, in central Ukraine. The pictures were presented in a landscape museum in the city which has around 400 thousand citizens. The exhibition is part of celebrations for the 1025 anniversary of Christening of Ruthenia and 80th anniversary of exhistence of Vinnica Diocese.
The exhibition comprises 200 selected from www.orthphoto.net photographs by 57 authors. Thanks to the exhibition Belarus citizens have an opportunity to learn about Polish Orthodox believers, their traditions, clergy and parishioners. They can also see monasteries and churches, some of which date back to several centuries ago.
The first place outside Poland, where you can see the orthphoto exhibition „Colours of Orthodoxy. Poland”, is Brussels. The initiative was put forward by MP Michał Kamiński.
