Archbishop Isaiah of Nicosia visited the exhibition “Colours of Orthodoxy. Poland”.
Despite his numerous duties Archbishop Isaiah devoted his time to see pictures presenting the beauty of Orthodoxy in Poland. Fr. Lukasz Godun gave the Archbishop a tour around the exhibition. Because the Archbishop has already been in Poland twice, he recognized some of the places documented in pictures.
The Diocese of Nicosia and Cchinwali was one of the areas that suffered greatly during the war in 2008. As a result of bombardments monastery buildings as well as the Archbishop’s Palace in Nicosia were damaged.
Archbishop Isaiah was educated to be a film-maker. He opened an animation studio in Nicosia, but it was damaged in bombardments. The reconstruction of the studio was subsidized by the Polish Foreign Office.
